Scenes from my morning meditation practice/space. I aim to spend 5-10 minutes doing centering breath work & gratitude journaling followed up by a mini yoga practice. This 💯 percent starts my day off on the right foot…every single time. 💫 My favorite meditation mantra comes from one of my fav yoga teachers & life coaches @lesliesmithcoaching :
Close your eyes.
Notice your breath.
Soften your belly.
Open your heart. ♥️ Smile.
Repeat. All while seated in a comfortable position or laying down on the mat while taking deep breaths.

The other simple meditation I recommend for beginners is to take 5 deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Slowly count to five on each inhale and again on each exhale. Breathe in for 5 seconds. Exhale for 5 seconds. Repeat.
I also love @marybethlarue ‘s online mediation & yoga classes and @headspace app for days I can’t get grounded without a little more guidance/help.
